Healthcare Analytics News Is Becoming Inside Digital Health

Article

Our mission is to help you, the leaders of American health systems, to process actionable insights from the digital health hype.

Healthcare Analytics News first launched in September 2017. It was less than two years ago, but so much in the world of digital healthcare has changed. Now, anyone with a few hundred bucks can suddenly wear an electrocardiogram (ECG) on their wrist. The world’s largest retail giant made a billion-dollar entrance into the pharmacy. Millions of patients’ medical records have been compromised by hackers.

The list goes on and on. In fact, there’s probably only one safe prediction in digital healthcare: Change is coming, and it’s coming fast.

In many ways, that’s great news. There’s so much about healthcare that is begging for change — so many opportunities to handle problems and processes more securely, with less risk and more efficiency. There’s little doubt that the tools of digital health have an important role to play in helping us make it happen. And to make the most of them, we must change.

But that’s easier said than done. Change is painful, uncomfortable and expensive. And the pathway that’ll take us from status quo to the healthcare of tomorrow — healthcare’s digital transformation pathway — is fraught with uncertainty, distractions and blind curves. Odds are that we’ll encounter snake-oil peddlers and false turns that could set us off course. And if we stare down at our feet for too long, we might forget why we set off on this journey in the first place.

But if we keep our heads up and eyes open, we’re sure to find travelers who’ve trod this path before. Experts who know it like the back of their hand. Leaders who are dedicated to helping others get to their destination as safely as possible. Sages who’ve made their life’s work about building tools that make the journey simpler, smarter and more secure. Unlike the snake-oil peddlers, these folks aren’t using their wits just to make a buck, but to make meaningful change — the kind that’s not so painful after all.

These leaders can give us a look inside digital health. They can point us to the people, places, companies and institutions that are laser-focused on pioneering new paths toward our healthcare goals. They can point us to the trailblazers who have succeeded and can help us replicate their successes, and spotlight those who have failed in order to help us avoid their failures.

That’s why Healthcare Analytics News is becoming Inside Digital Health. We’re here to connect you with these leaders so we can all work together to achieve a common goal: turning a risky, uncertain and costly digital transformation into a safe, secure and profitable one — for your health system, its stakeholders, employees and patients.

Our mission is to help you, the leaders of American health systems, to process actionable insights from the digital health hype.
