A partnership announced today between TriNetX and Trialbee aims to support data-driven solutions to accelerate patient-centric clinical trials.

Through the partnership, TriNetX, a research network that leverages real-world evidence, and Trialbee, a company that uses technology to empower patients to participate in clinical trials, will harness real-world evidence and real-time analytics to support customers with their end goals of design, site selection, patient recruitment and retention. The companies will also develop new services to accelerate clinical trial outcomes and make healthcare organizations successful.

“This is a great opportunity to leverage both organizations’ capabilities to develop new services in order to optimize clinical trials to empower patients with clinical trials as a care option,” said Lollo Eriksson, Ph.D., CEO of Trialbee.

Trialbee develops software to reduce the time of clinical trial recruitment and enhance the patient engagement experience. TriNetX generates real-world evidence to improve clinical research and enable discoveries. The company also has access to a large data repository due to its partnerships with healthcare organizations spanning 17 countries and more than 300 million patients.

Bringing these two companies together provides an opportunity to identify, engage and drive patients to clinical trials, improving efficiency and time to market.

The partnership could enhance both companies’ ability to streamline patient identification and recruitment, according to Maulik Mehta, MBA, senior vice president of corporate development at TriNetX.

“We see this partnership as a complementary effort to our digital developments around protocol design, site identification and access to patients,” Mehta said. “Together, TriNetX and Trialbee will further enable clinical research as an alternative care option to patients.”
